Zettai Kareshi ("Absolute Boyfriend") was originally a manga by the famous Watase Yuu (author of Fushigi Yuugi). The manga series had a full run in the US published magazine Shojo Beat just recently!

The original manga story revolved around high school students but the J-Drama ages the main characters a bit - Izawa Riiko is a sweet girl who just wants a boyfriend but has only had bad luck. She ends up in possession of an experimental robot in the "Nightly Series" - a love robot! His name is Night Tenjo and he has been programmed to her specifications of the absolutely perfect boyfriend!

Being a Watase Yuu story, we know this series will be full of romance and love triangles! Will Riiko accept Night as more than just a robot or will she accept the feelings of her co-worker Shoji instead?
