Densha Otoko ("Train Man") is one of the BEST J DRAMA EVER! It aired in Japan in the Fall of 2005 with a total of 11 episodes, one finale episode and a lot of funny extras! This series is especially fun for anime fans, since the story revolves around an anime otaku ("fan") and a beautiful young lady he rescues from a drunk pervert on a train. He then pursues her with the help of friends on a BBS (forum/discussion board) for single men. The amazing thing about this series is that it is based on a TRUE STORY! Even more amazing - The actual BBS posts he made are still available for viewing! Go here for the English translation in progress!
English translations were done by greyhorse, aviness, Masakun, Densha-lover, & Sirynx77, whose .srts were posted on D-Addicts. I hardsubbed the subtitles & translated and did karaoke effects for the ending song. I also encoded them to .rmvb ^.^
Encoded at a high bitrate of 350Kbps; each episode is about 45 minutes long (except ep 01 is 55 min). The ending song is cut out of each .rm since the motion was too fast. Please download the ending song with karaoke effects in .avi from the link below:
